Introducing... Alyssa Paige Naumann!!

Weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces with a height of 20 inches... Alyssa Paige was born at 2340 Pacific Standard Time on the night of October 28, 2010!  In stark contrast to Mom's last labor, this one lasted a little over 6 1/2 hours and only required 4 pushes!  Mom and baby are doing great!  We wanted to thank everyone for their well-wishes and prayers - we couldn't have done it without them.  Here are a few of the many pictures taken by Dad (aka the Seattle paparazzi) to document the occasion!

What's with these doctors?!

Howdy!

Feets... with five toes each!

Nice and warm...

Little more fragile than Joshua...

Hair washing...

Lots of hair and lots of stuff to get out of that hair!

Now this I can handle!

Wait... how does this go again?

Warm and clean...

Now all I need is some food!

Hold on to Your Hats!!

This afternoon around 2PM Heather started having contractions.  Of course this was nothing new since she had been having contractions off and on for several weeks.  So she took Joshua to Gymboree and went about her business.  But unlike all the other contractions, these persisted.  By 445PM they were becoming more intense and she was thinking I should probably head home.  So I made my way home, we called our nanny to watch Joshua, and then we headed into the hospital.  On first check Heather was dilated to 5cm so they let us stay!!  She asked for the epidural around that time but the anesthesiologist had to deal with two emergent cases ahead of Heather.  She did a GREAT job with some very intense and frequent contractions!!  Here are some pictures of the action so far!!

They aren't going to turn us away!!

Thank God for anesthesiologists and epidurals!!

Last chance for some peace and quiet...

Look at that uterus go!!

Getting to Know Little Sister...

We've been trying to get Joshua used to the idea that he is going to be having a little sister in the not so distant future. Usually when he mention there is a baby in Mommy's tummy it leads to a quick slap to the belly for Mom... sibling rivalry already!! Here are a few pictures of Joshua during an uncharacteristically sweet moment...

Happy 2nd Birthday, PEPS Group!!

This year we celebrated everyone's birthday at the Fall City Farm Pumpkin Patch! We showed up for opening day, saw some friendly farm animals, and had a great picnic with cupcakes!! Here are some pictures of Joshua and his buddies!
