Joshua, Meet Alyssa!

The morning after Alyssa was born, we brought Joshua to the hospital to meet her.  He has taken quite a liking to her and makes sure we don't go anywhere or do anything without her!  Here are some photos from their first meeting...

This is your sister, Alyssa!

There are Alyssa's fingers!

Happy Halloween!

Joshua had the opportunity to wear his costume twice this year!  The first was the week before Halloween at a birthday party.  The second was on Halloween when he went Trick-or-Treating for the first time!  We weren't sure it was going to happen with Alyssa being all of 2 days old, but she pulled it together and made a good showing!  \We loaded up the car and headed out to Ballard for some Halloween fun!  Here are some pictures...

Clark Kent playing on the floor...

It's a bird... it's a plane...

It's Superman!!

Looking good, Superman!

He can fly!

Up, up, and away!

Dad and Superman...

Where would you like me to put this pole?

Now for this tree...

Joshua and Mimi...

Only one, Joshua...

Just one, Joshua...

So you're saying I should take as many as my super-hands can hold?

Could be trouble... better check it out!

Dramatic turn...

Up, up, and away!

Hey Superman, what happened to Alyssa?

Yes, maybe we left her in that water?!!  Apparently he doesn't think much of our parenting...

Pumpkin Carving!

The weekend before Halloween we decided to carve the Naumann Family Pumpkin!  Of course a traditional pumpkin face that takes 15 minutes to carve just wasn't going to cut it this year!  Instead, we (read Dad) decided to spend 6 hours carving an intricate cartoon character into the pumpkin!  Luckily, the rest of the family was very supportive and more than happy to help out!!

Here's a picture of Joshua helping... this is about as close as he came until the work was done!

Dad hard at work...

It's Tigger!

The finished product!

Totally worth it... he wouldn't hug just any pumpkin!

Fall in Seattle!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Arboretum for a change of scenery.  The fall colors are amazing this time of year!!  After the park we spent a few hours at a birthday party for one of Joshua's friends.  Here are some pictures!

Happy Birthday, Heather!!

We celebrated Heather's 35th birthday at the park and with some ice cream cake!  Despite being 35 and labeled as "elderly gravida" in her medical record, I think she had a great day!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

This is my second favorite day of the year!

Jacket season!

Fall pictures!

This is Joshua's response to the request that he "smile."  Looks like we'll be seeing quite a few of these squinty-eye smiles to placate Dad ;)

Thirty-seven weeks pregnant... definitely deserves some ice cream cake!

I wonder what she is wishing for...
