The Houston Zoo!

I had a conference in Houston a few weeks ago, so we decided to load up the Sequoia and take everyone for a little vacation.  We stayed down by the Medical Center which is hardly recognizable compared to the last time we saw it 6 years ago!  Here are some pictures from a trip to the zoo with Grandad, Aunt Amanda, and Ella.

Meerkats just lounging around

Looks like Timon...

Ella with an elephant

Alyssa, Joshua, and Ella checking out the elephants

Smile!

Looks like Joshua found some grass!

Joshua with a lion... but where's the lion?

He's just lion around...

Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?  Lunch!

Now those are some long horns!

Alyssa with the cow...

Alyssa with some kind of long-nosed animal...

Witch doctor!

Little witch doctor!

Emily's tickling the gorilla...

Making friends...

Looks like Alyssa built up her courage again after the gorillas were chasing her at the Wichita zoo...

Something about how this is the only place in the world you can stand in one zoo and look directly into another zoo.  Ahhh the memories!

These guys are herbivores... thanks for the education "Ice Age!"

Dozing deer...

Alyssa's favorite giraffes!

Merry-Go-Round!  Ride that panda!

Go get 'em, Tiger!

That's a nice looking goat.  Good work, Josh!

Cooling off at the zoo...

Hurry, look at this!  Nevermind, take your time.

Joshua's favorite flamingos!

Zookeeper Grandad gives a tour!

Joshua and the flamingos...

This guy put on quite a show!

Break time!

This is some good ice cream!  Incidentally, if anyone wants to make some money, we would suggest opening a sno-cones stand at the zoo

Ella likes it too!

A day at the zoo and three smiling kids!

Money well spent...

Apparently Joshua smells like an elephant...

There's no convincing her otherwise...

But at least she can laugh about it!
