Happy Easter!

Joshua had a great first Easter! We dyed some eggs and even had a hunt... that is Joshua had to hunt for the eggs when he dropped them off his chair! We wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful gifts... especially the candy!!!

Well done, sir!

I can do it too, honest!

The eyes still match... whew!

All my other features still match... whew!

Anybody for some feet and eggs?

Mine!

Are you kidding?! They're in the grass right next to me? That Easter bunny needs some practice!

Looks like I found all of them! Joshua 1, Easter bunny 0.

Whoops! The basket spilled!

Tulip Festival!

It may rain a lot, but it sure is beautiful when the sun comes out! This festival takes place every year in Mount Vernon, Washington which is about an hour north of Seattle. We went for the day and took a picnic. Fortunately, we lucked out and got some nice weather. We took a few pictures while we were there. We also posted a bunch of "Spring in the Northwest" pictures in a slideshow that can be seen in the right-hand column if you're interested!

More than just tulips - here's a field of daffodils...

Here are the tulips!

That flower may have lost a petal... shhh!

One of these things is not like the other...

Red and pink tulips for Mom!

The boys!

They're just irresistable!!

Family picture!

For those in the desert... you just put these in the ground and they grow! Amazing!

Pink tulips for Dad too??

Seems a bit like swimming... except the water's yellow and it's warm!

First family picnic!

It really was a LOT of flowers to look at...

Joshua's Nursery!!

It's been a long time coming, but Joshua's nursery is finally complete!! Turns out it takes a bit of doing to relocate the guest bedroom to the study while still keeping the study as a functional study! But we're all done now and it was definitely worth it! Here are some pictures from the new nursery...

And in the first corner...

And in the second corner...

We put that Pooh puzzle together while Heather was still pregnant...

Those are some good lookin' shelves!

So that's where he's learning to make those faces...

Leftovers!

These didn't fit into any specific category... but how could we leave them out?! Enjoy!

Staying warm... how cute!

We have a backyard?!

Tickles and laughs...

Droopy dog?

I think I'm going to like that sun!

Good ole' Mom!

This Ain't Your Momma's Milk!

Joshua has been taking more of an interest in watching us eat so we decided it was time for him to try some rice cereal. We were hoping it would fill him up a bit more and maybe extend naptime... wishful thinking!! He was very tired when we decided to try this, but he was a great sport!

Let me get this straight... in or out?

I can do this... let me see that bowl...

This is really what I've been looking forward to?

Seriously?

Not bad for a first go round!

You Won't Find Me Lying Down on the Job!

To say that Joshua is a "curious" baby is a bit of an understatement... he wants to be a part of anything and everything that is going on around him! And he is rarely if ever satisfied to be lying on his back and watching the action. Instead he insists on "sitting" or "standing" because - as you know - that just makes everything better!! We did get him a chair so he can sit up and he's really enjoying it! Here are some pictures of him in the midst of the action!

Saturday Morning Skype with Grandma and Grandpa!

Something new!

One, two, three... draw!

She got me!

I still like ladybug but only if we're eye-to-eye!

Scheming... and for my next trick...

I'll stand up by myself!! Pay no attention to the woman behind me...

Mmmmm...

You caught me! I still lay down from time to time!

I also get tired from time to time... but I NEVER EVER sleep!

Fingers, Toes, and Bare Bottoms... Oh My!

Just about everything Joshua can reach ends up in his mouth these days. This is particularly the case during bath time, which Joshua has finally started to take a liking to! Before his bath he has a few minutes of "naked time" on our bed, and he absolutely loves it!! Surprisingly enough this has only resulted in one accident, but we still keep our fingers crossed!

Well, they don't do anything else yet, so why not?!

Bare bottom!

Naked time!

Decisions...

The right one it is!

This naked stuff is great!

Finally!! Smiles at bath time!

He got his Dad's two best features... eyes and butt!!

This is going to be delicious!

Cute naked baby smiles!
